Tanzania and China agree to broaden ties in tourism while boosting sector's investment and technology
TOLEDO, SPAIN, June 12 -- TANZANIA and China have agreed to strengthen cooperation in tourism, with a focus on attracting more visitors, boosting investment and expanding the use of technology in the sector.
The commitment was reached during talks between Tanzanias Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Ashatu Kijaji, and Chinas Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gao Zheng, on the sidelines of the 126th Executive Council Meeting of the UN Tourism Organization in Toledo, Spain.
The discussions centred on advancing economic diplomacy through tourism and exploring new opportunities to expand collaboration between the two countries.
