WASHINGTON, Aug. 27 -- TANZANIA is seeking to strengthen its understanding of nuclear energy technologies as the country advances preparations for its nuclear power programme.

The Minister for Energy, Deogratius Ndejembi arrived in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, to participate in the inaugural Ministerial Meeting for the launch of the Atomic Technologies Licensed for Applications at Sea (ATLAS) programme, taking place on August 26 and 27.

Upon his arrival, Mr Ndejembi was received at the Tanzanian Embassy in Washington D.C. by Acting Ambassador Eva Ngitu.
