MOMBASA, June 18 -- ZANZIBAR President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has met with Somalias Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama, to discuss ways of further strengthening the longstanding bilateral relations and cooperation between Tanzania and Somalia across various development sectors.

During the talks held today on June 18, 2026, in Mombasa, Kenya, the two leaders explored opportunities for collaboration in the Blue Economy, emphasizing the importance of the sustainable use of marine resources to promote economic growth and improve the livelihoods of citizens in both countries.
