DODOMA, Aug. 13 -- TANZANIA and Germany have agreed to strengthen cooperation in various strategic sectors, including trade and investment, health, environment, water, the blue economy, infrastructure, technology and good governance.

The agreement was reached today, August 13, 2026, in Dodoma during talks between officials from Tanzanias Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and a delegation from the German government.

The Tanzanian delegation was led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, together with the ministrys Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Dr Samwel Shelukindo.
