DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 5 -- TANZANIA and Africa50 have signed an agreement to expand access to dialysis services, a move expected to strengthen the countrys healthcare system and improve treatment for patients suffering from kidney diseases.

The agreement was signed today, August 5, 2026, during the Africa50 Annual General Shareholders Meeting and the Africa Infrastructure Forum held in Dar es Salaam.

The signing was witnessed by senior government and Africa50 officials, with Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr Grace Magembe, signing on behalf of the Government of Tanzania, while Africa50 Principal Investment Fund Chief Executive Officer, Djalal Khimdjee, signed on behalf of the institution.
