DODOMA, Aug. 9 -- THE Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) has disbursed loans worth 1.55 tri/- to finance 862 projects in the agricultural sector and related activities across the country.

Of the amount, 1.32 tri/-, equivalent to 84 per cent of the total loans, has been channelled to projects that directly benefit 2.6 million Tanzanians across all 31 regions of the country.

The financing has supported investments in crop production, livestock and fisheries, as well as the construction and improvement of irrigation systems, warehouses, storage facilities and agro-processing industries.
