TABORA, March 11 -- THE Tabora Regional Road Board has approved the 50.9bn/- budget for the Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) for the maintenance, construction, and rehabilitation of road infrastructure for the 2026/2027 fiscal year.

The approval took place during a meeting of the Tabora Regional Road Board held at the Tabora Teachers College hall.

Highlighting TARURAs achievements in the region, TARURA Tabora Regional Manager, Engineer Lusako Kilembe, stated that from the 2021/2022 fiscal year to 2024/2025, TARURA successfully expanded the paved road network by 44.4 kilometers and gravel roads by 702 kilometers.
