DAR ES SALAAM, July 22 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed and transferred several senior government officials, including the appointment of Dr Latifa Mohammed Khamis as Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Vice Presidents Office responsible for Union Affairs.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr Moses Kusiluka, Dr Khamis was appointed to the position from the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE), where she had been serving as Director General.
