SADC bloc tasked to implement the 28th Meeting's resolutions to maintain regional peace, stability
SALIMA, July 18 -- THE 28th Ministerial Committee Meeting of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation concluded today, July 18, 2026, with member states urged to implement the resolutions adopted to strengthen peace, security and stability across the SADC region.
The meeting was held in two phases, beginning with a session of Permanent Secretaries on July 13-14, followed by the Ministerial session on July 16-17, 2026. Discussions focused on regional security challenges, political cooperation and measures to enhance peace and stability within the bloc.
