Russia trip opens new doors
DAR ES SALAAM, June 8 -- TANZANIA is set to strengthen bilateral trade and investment with Russia, following President Samia Suluhu Hassans recent State Visit to Moscow, as part of government efforts to mobilise international capital for the implementation of the National Development Vision 2050.
Following the visit, Tanzania aims to increase exports to Russia to 500 million US dollars (about 1.3tri/-) by 2030, up from the current 70 million US dollars (about 184bn/-), while also attracting significant foreign direct investment (FDIs) from Moscow.
