GEITA, Nov. 5 -- CONSTRUCTION of a new Medical Stores Department (MSD) warehouse for the Kagera Zone in Chato District, Geita Region, has reached 97 per cent completion, a development expected to strengthen the institutions capacity to efficiently store medical supplies for Kagera, Geita and neighbouring areas once it becomes operational.

The warehouse, covering 4,800 square metres and costing 19bn/-, is expected to become a major centre for storing and distributing medical supplies, while expanding MSDs service coverage from the current 11 councils to 17.
