Qatar tables interest to invest in Tanzania's port, announces joint task force for the mission
DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 2 -- QATAR has expressed interest in investing in Tanzanias port infrastructure, with the two countries moving to establish a joint task force to explore strategic projects aimed at expanding port capacity and strengthening Tanzanias position in regional trade.
The interest was expressed by former Qatari Deputy Prime Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah during talks with Tanzanias Minister for Transport Prof Makame Mbarawa, who presented investment opportunities available in the development of the countrys ports.
