MOROGORO, Feb. 27 -- THE Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy in charge of Oil and Gas, Dr James Mataragio, has directed the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA) to accelerate preliminary exploration in new oil and gas areas to attract investors and increase national revenue.

The PS made the statement today in Morogoro region during the Fifth Workers Council Meeting noting that the efforts will stimulate investment, expand local participation, and strengthen the implementation of the authoritys core responsibilities.
