PURA supports fight against HIV/AIDS, NCDs
DAR ES SALAAM, May 31 -- The Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA) has pledged to continue supporting government efforts to combat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) by facilitating regular training for its employees.
The commitment was announced by PURA Director Generals representative, Shigela Malosha, during the opening of a health and wellness training programme held in Dar es Salaam on Friday (May 29, 2026).
Speaking at the event, Shigela said the training forms part of measures being undertaken by PURA to implement the National Strategy for the Control of HIV, AIDS, and Non-Communicable Diseases in the workplace.
