DAR ES SALAAM, April 6 -- PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has directed authorities responsible for allocating business spaces across the country to ensure that stalls are assigned to legitimate traders rather than brokers who exploit the system by reselling them at inflated prices.
He warned that any individual found engaging in the illegal allocation, leasing, or resale of business stalls will face strict legal action, as part of efforts to enforce discipline and transparency in the allocation system.
The remarks were made on April 6, 2026, during a meeting with traders from the Mawasiliano area, commonly known as Simu 2000, located in Ubungo, Dar es Salaam.
