DAR ES SALAAM, April 6 -- PRIME Minister, Mwigulu Nchemba, on April 6, 2026, conducted an inspection visit to assess the damage caused by a fire outbreak at the Simu 2000 small traders market located in Ubungo, Dar es Salaam.

The fire incident occurred on April 4, 2026, resulting in extensive property damage, with an estimated 500  stalls destroyed.

During the visit, the Prime Minister observed the extent of the destruction and engaged with some of the affected traders, as efforts to assess losses and initiate immediate relief measures continue.
