Partnership strengthens access to Tanzania's child specialised healthcare
DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 3 -- A mothers relief after seeing her child leave the operating theatre with renewed hope captures the significance of a partnership that is changing lives while reinforcing Tanzanias efforts to improve access to specialised healthcare.
In a major boost to the countrys healthcare system, the Lalji Foundation and Canadas Baraka Foundation have transformed the lives of 30 Tanzanian children by funding specialised surgeries and medical treatment for patients living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus at the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI).
