DODOMA, March 31 -- THE first session of the third meeting of the 13th Parliament has been postponed, delaying the official start of the governments budget reading process.

The announcement was made today, March 31, 2026, by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Daniel Sillo, who confirmed the postponement without providing a specific reason.

During the session, Deputy Speaker Sillo read a statement from the Speaker of Parliament informing members about the passing of William Lukuvi.

He noted that Lukuvis funeral was taking place today in Idodi village, Iringa Region, presided over by the Prime Minister, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba.
