DAR ES SALAAM, June 15 -- THE Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has expressed satisfaction with the level of efficiency achieved at the Port of Dar es Salaam following an inspection tour to assess the ports performance and the improvements implemented through private sector participation.

Speaking during the visit, PAC Chairperson Devotha Minja commended the management of the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) for its continued efforts to improve services and enhance productivity. She noted that the increase in cargo volumes and the number of vessels calling at the port demonstrates its growing competitiveness within the East African region.
