TABORA, Oct. 21 -- THE Nzega District Resident Magistrates Court in Tabora Region has sentenced Saraganda Jiganga, 22, a farmer and resident of Ifumba Village, Lusu Ward, to 30 years in prison after convicting him of raping and impregnating a form three student.

Delivering the judgment, Senior Resident Magistrate, Saturini Mushi said the sentence should serve as a lesson to the convict and others in society.

He said the prosecution presented evidence, which proved that Jiganga committed the offence beyond reasonable doubt.
