DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 26 -- THE National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) and Aga Khan Hospital Dar es Salaam have signed an agreement to provide cancer treatment services to NHIF members, in a move aimed at expanding access to specialised cancer care in Tanzania.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at Aga Khan Hospital in Dar es Salaam by NHIF Director General Dr Irene Isaka and Aga Khan East Africa Chief Executive Officer Dr Zeenat Sulaiman.

Speaking at the event, Dr Isaka said the partnership is part of NHIFs efforts to improve access to healthcare services for its members, particularly specialised services requiring advanced expertise and technology.
