DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 19 -- THE capital market is poised for further growth following the launch of two new investment products, giving investors greater choice to diversify their portfolios and tap into a broader range of formal investment opportunities

The new Zan Timiza Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) and Timiza Plus Fund, managed by Zan Securities, come as the ETF segment of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) expands rapidly, with market capitalisation reaching about 200bn/- by mid of August, up from 6.8bn/- last year.

Zan Securities Chief Executive Officer Raphael Masumbuko said the new products were part of the companys strategy to make capital-market investment more accessible to Tanzanians.
