KILIMANJARO, Oct. 27 -- MINISTER of State in the Presidents Office - Youth Development, Joel Nanauka, has pledged the governments continued commitment to developing the sports sector, citing its role in nurturing talent, promoting cultural diversity and strengthening national unity.

Nanauka made the remarks while closing the inaugural Koola Cup football tournament in Vunjo Constituency, Moshi District, Kilimanjaro Region, over the weekend.

He said sports provide a powerful platform for bringing people from different backgrounds together, breaking down social, economic, tribal and political barriers, particularly among young people.
