DAR ES SALAAM, July 14 -- ZANZIBAR President Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi has challenged Tanzanian businesses to look beyond the domestic market and pursue opportunities abroad to increase exports and strengthen economic growth.

He said opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and Chinas zero-tariff market access initiative could open new doors for Tanzanian producers if businesses improve quality, competitiveness and production capacity.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba), Dr. Mwinyi urged traders and manufacturers to take advantage of emerging markets and government initiatives aimed at expanding trade.
