ZANZIBAR, March 2 -- ZANZIBAR President, Dr Hussein Mwinyi has praised the International Holy Quran competition as a powerful platform for strengthening love for the Quran, nurturing moral values among youth and raising Tanzanias profile on the global stage.

Alhaji Dr Mwinyi made the remarks yesterday, during the grand international contest held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
