MWANZA, March 6 -- ROAD safety ambassadors in Mwanza City have called on passengers, drivers and bus agents to fully comply with road safety laws and procedures in order to reduce accidents and protect peoples lives.

Speaking yesterday during a cleaning exercise and road safety awareness campaign held at Nyegezi Bus Terminal, road safety stakeholder Ms Subira Sabi emphasised the importance of passengers fastening seat belts while ensuring they sit in seats equipped with functioning belts.

Ms Sabi urged passengers to ask the conductor or driver if seats do not have seat belts or if there are any safety concerns.

She also encouraged the proper use of online ticketing systems to enhance transparency and safety for travellers.
