MWANZA, July 8 -- THE Tanzanian Lake Victoria city of Mwanza has been honoured to host the 21st World Lake Conference to be held at the Malaika Beach Resort from August 4 to 6, 2026, bringing together various stakeholders in the lake water sector from across the world.

The preparations for the conference have been presented today to the Mwanza Regional Commissioner, Mr Said Mtanda by the Chief Executive Officer of the Water Academy, Prof. Adam Karia, who was accompanied by a delegation of stakeholders from Japan, at a meeting held here at the Regional Commissioners Office.
