MTWARA, Feb. 25 -- THE management of Mtwara Port is exploring means to further upgrade its services in handling the ever-growing volume of cargo.

This was unveiled during the 39th meeting of the Mtwara Port Staff Council, seeking to improve the port infrastructure by strengthening berths, upgrading cargo storage facilities, and improving ICT infrastructure to simplify operational systems.

A statement from the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA), the meeting also discussed rehabilitating internal roads and cargo-handling equipment to increase speed and safety in service delivery.
