TABORA, Sept. 12 -- A 39-YEAR old mother, Caroline Isack, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison by the Igunga District Court in Tabora Region after being convicted of trafficking 88 packets of heroin weighing 10.6 grammes.

The court found Ms Isack, a resident of Kamando Street in Igunga District, guilty of trafficking the narcotic drug in violation of the law.

Prosecutors Grace Lwila, Albanus Ndunguru and Neema Igongi told the court that on August 20, 2025, in the morning, the accused was arrested along Singida Road in Igunga town by officers from the Drug Control and Enforcement Authority (DCEA), Western Zone, while transporting the heroin.
