DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 16 -- THE Minister for Energy Deogratius Ndejembi has said the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, is expected to officially launch the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project (JNHPP), with a generation capacity of 2,115 megawatts, on August 22, at the project site in Rufiji, Coast Region.

He made the remarks today, August 15, in Dar es Salaam at the Ministry of Energys offices while briefing journalists on the launch, which will be attended by various government leaders, guests from within and outside the country, members of the public and development partners.
