DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 3 -- ALLIANCE Caravans successfully defended the Petrofuel TCA Caravans T20 Cup title after defeating Aurobindo AKSC by 29 runs in the final at the Tanzania Cricket Association Arena, University of Dar es Salaam, on Sunday.

The defending champions posted 140 for eight from their 20 overs before restricting Aurobindo to 111 for five, bringing five weeks of competitive domestic cricket to a close.

The final also became the first match played at the new TCA Arena, adding further significance to a contest between the two strongest teams from the Super Six stage.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Alliance built a competitive total through contributions across the order.
