ZANZIBAR, March 25 -- THE Zanzibar House of Representatives Committee on Economy and Investment has urged fishermen and marine entrepreneurs in Chuini Ngalawa to remain patient as the government proceeds with plans to construct a modern fishing port in the area.

Committee Chairperson, Mr Makame Sufiyani, made the call during an inspection visit to the proposed site, affirming that the government is committed to protecting citizens interests while implementing major development projects for the benefit of the wider community.

He said the Zanzibar government continues to prioritise inclusive development by investing in strategic infrastructure aimed at creating long-term economic opportunities for wananchi across various sectors.
