DAR ES SALAAM, Oct. 26 -- More than 2,000 participants are expected to attend the second Sustainable Land Transport Week in Dar es Salaam from November 24 to 26, as the government steps up efforts to promote safer, greener and more inclusive transport services.

The event, to be held at Mlimani City, will bring together transport stakeholders for exhibitions, discussions and the second edition of awards recognising outstanding service providers in the sector.

Land Transport Regulatory Authority (LATRA) Director General Dr Habibu Suluo said the awards are aimed at promoting healthy competition among transport operators and encouraging improvements in service quality, safety and efficiency.
