KIBAHA, March 31 -- A group of 50 staff from the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE), led by Deputy Director General Freddy Liundi, visited Kwala Dry Port to observe and learn about various port operations.
The visit focused on understanding the ports operational systems, cargo handling procedures, and identifying opportunities to enhance international trade through the facility.
Kwala Dry Port, located in Vigwaza, Kibaha, Coast Region, covers an area of 502 hectares. Of this, 120 hectares have been developed, including 60 hectares that have been leveled and secured with a 2.96-kilometer fence. An additional 5 hectares have been constructed with a concrete surface to facilitate cargo handling activities.
