DAR E SALAAM, March 4 -- THE Tanzanian government has affirmed to maintain close collaboration with the Palestinian Embassy throughout its newly appointed envoy, Salam Sharar, to ensure the effective implementation of shared objectives and to further deepen diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Today, March 4, 2026, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, has officially received copies of the Letters of Credence from the Ambassador-Designate of Palestine to Tanzania, Salam Sharar.

The presentation of the documents forms part of standard diplomatic protocol, authorizing the ambassador to formally assume his duties in the host country.
