KILIMANJARO, March 23 -- KENYAN runners once again stamped their authority on the Kilimanjaro Marathon, sweeping the top two spots in the full marathon as Tanzanian hopes faded on home soil.
William Morwabe led the charge, clocking 2:18:52 to take the mens title, with compatriot Letanto Stephen close behind in 2:19:21. Tanzanias Charles Sule salvaged some pride with a third-place finish in 2:19:31.
This years results reflect improved times for Kenyan runners where in last years edition, John Chirchir Tubei won the 2025 race in 2:20:23, followed by Robert Komen in 2:20:48.
The pattern held in the womens race, where Alice Kamunya surged to victory in 2:50:33.
