DAR ES SALAAM, June 13 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Dr John Jingu as the new Chief Court Administrator of the Judiciary of Tanzania, succeeding Prof Elisante Ole Gabriel, who has retired. In another appointment, the Head of State named Francis Mossongo as Clerk to the Cabinet.

The appointments were announced yesterday in a statement issued by Chief Secretary Ambassador Dr Moses Kusiluka through the Directorate of Presidential Communications at State House. Prior to his appointment, Dr Jingu served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs.
