ARUSHA, Aug. 7 -- THE government has stressed commitment to creating a conducive environment for agriculture, livestock and fisheries, recognising the private sector as a key driver of economic growth and youth employment.

Moshi District Commissioner Godfrey Mzava made the remarks yesterday while officiating the opening of the livestock parade and exhibition during the 32nd Nanenane Exhibition for the Northern Zone at the Themi Grounds in Njiro, Arusha. Mr Mzava said agriculture, livestock and fisheries remain the backbone of Tanzanias economy and are central to improving the livelihoods of citizens.
