DAR ES SALAAM, Sept. 23 -- SUPPORT for children living with cancer received a boost as hundreds of participants joined the AmCham Tanzania Family Charity Walk in Dar es Salaam on 20 September 2026. The walk mobilised private-sector and community support for Tumaini la Maisha, which provides care to children with cancer and their families.

Geita Gold Mining Limited (GGML) was among the main sponsors of the event. The company partners with the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute ( JKCI) to support access to cardiac surgery for children and has identified the health and wellbeing of communities as a core element of its sustainability and community investment strategy.
