DAR ES SALAAM, June 8 -- GEITA Gold and Kagera Sugar have secured promotion back to the Mainland Premier League opening an unassailable lead at the top of the Championship table with two matches remaining in the season following decisive victories yesterday.

Geita Gold confirmed their return to the top flight with a 3-1 win over Songea United at Nyankumbu Stadium in Geita.

Maulid Shabani scored a first-half brace before Richard Ngondya added the third goal to seal the victory.

Kagera Sugar also sealed promotion after defeating KenGold 3-0 at Kaitaba Stadium in Kagera.

Charles Luhende, Kassim Fekha and Obrey Chirwa were on target for Kagera Sugar.
