France's ALSTOM eyes to invest in Tanzania's transport infrastructure after talks with PM
DAR ES SALAAM, July 8 -- PRIME Minister Dr Mwigulu Nchemba has met with Philippe Deller, Vice President of France-based ALSTOM, to discuss investment opportunities in Tanzanias transport infrastructure sector.
During the meeting, Dr Nchemba invited ALSTOM to invest in Tanzania, noting that the Sixth Phase Government under President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan continues to create a conducive environment for investors while implementing reforms aimed at positioning Tanzania as a regional hub for trade, transport and investment in East Africa.
For his part, Mr Deller expressed the companys interest in partnering with the government of Tanzania in implementing strategic urban transport projects.
