DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 11 -- AS climate change intensifies and environmental degradation accelerates, Tanzania faces a critical challenge: How can we protect our forests and watersheds while sustaining economic growth?

The answer increasingly lies in Nature-based Solutions (NbS), actions that protect, restore and sustainably manage natural ecosystems to address societal challenges while enhancing biodiversity and human well-being.

More importantly, these solutions should not be viewed merely as environmental interventions but as strategic investments that generate long-term economic, social and ecological returns.
