ARUSHA, Oct. 12 -- MEMBERS of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) have commended the Sixth-Phase Government, led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, for investing in the construction of a modern stadium in Arusha, which is expected to support preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The lawmakers made the remarks during a visit to the stadium construction site in Arusha, where they inspected the project and discussed its potential to promote sports, tourism and economic growth in Tanzania and across the East African region.
