ZANZIBAR, Sept. 2 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has challenged newly appointed Regional Commissioners (RCs) to take full ownership of the regions they have been assigned, describing them as her army and urging them to serve citizens rather than rule over them.

The Head of State made the statement in Tunguu, Zanzibar, when administering the oath of office to the newly appointed Regional Commissioners noting that their appointments reflected the trust placed in them to oversee government activities and address challenges facing their respective regions.
