DAR ES SALAAM, May 28 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has instructed the Tanzania Police Force to strengthen its ability to detect and respond to security threats at an early stage, warning against ignoring warning signs that could endanger national peace and stability.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony of police officers and assistant inspectors at Kurasini in Dar es Salaam on Thursday, May 28, 2026, President Samia said the country had learnt important lessons from the October 29 incident, which exposed weaknesses in responding to potential threats.
