DAR ES SALAAM, March 28 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has led national leaders and members of the public in paying their last respects to the late William Lukuvi at a solemn farewell ceremony held at Karimjee Grounds in Dar es Salaam today, March 28, 2026.

Various senior government officials, political leaders and residents gathered at the grounds to honour the deceased, who served as Minister of State in the Prime Ministers Office (Policy, Parliament, Coordination and Persons with Disabilities) and Member of Parliament for Isimani.

Speaking at the funeral, the Head of State described the late Lukuvi as a principled, hardworking leader who generously shared knowledge and left valuable lessons for fellow leaders.
