ST PETERSBURG, June 6 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has invited Russian investors to tap into Tanzanias vast mineral wealth, highlighting the countrys abundant reserves of strategic minerals that are increasingly vital for global technology and clean energy transitions.

Speaking at the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026) in Russia on Friday, President Samia said Tanzania is endowed with significant deposits of uranium, nickel, graphite, helium and rare earth minerals, positioning the country as a key player in the global minerals market.
