ZANZIBAR, Sept. 17 -- THE President of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has said the three-day Ijitimai is expected to create economic opportunities for local residents, particularly small traders, through the arrival of visitors from different countries.

The Isles President made the statement at State House in Zanzibar today, September 17, 2026, during a meeting with Sheikhs from Bungi in South Unguja Region, who invited him to attend the Ijitimai scheduled to begin tomorrow, September 18, 2026.
