ZANZIBAR, Aug. 15 -- ZANZIBAR President, Dr Hussein Mwinyi has commended the Kizimkazi Festival for its key role in promoting and advancing culture, tourism and other economic activities in Tanzania.

Dr Mwinyi made the remarks today, August 14, 2026, during the closing ceremony of the Kizimkazi Festival 2026, held in Makunduchi, Zanzibar.

He said the vision behind establishing the festival has continued to produce positive results by helping preserve and celebrate cultural heritage, promote the tourism sector and stimulate economic activities.
