ZANZIBAR, Oct. 7 -- PRESIDENT of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, leaves the country today, October 7, 2026, for Doha, Qatar, as part of a working visit aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and opening up new development and investment opportunities for Zanzibar.

Upon arrival in Doha, President Mwinyi is expected to be received by Tanzanias Ambassador to Qatar, Habibu Awesi Mohamed. During his stay, the President will meet with international investors and business leaders to discuss investment opportunities available in Zanzibar and Tanzania, particularly in tourism and other strategic sectors.
